Outlaw is my mainspec, it's good cleave, and good Single target. Sub is my offspec, and should do more single target DPS now after the hot fixes, and better AoE after ilvl 870. 

 

Shadow artifact is BiS for my offspec. 

I have a warforged Belt. 

Boots are decent for both specs, not optimal secondaries. 

Ring is BiS for Outlaw, decent for Sub. 

Raved seed pod (trinket) is okay for Outlaw.

Swarming Plaughive  possible BIS - Tons of haste which my current trinkets are lacking and a single target damage proc to replace my current non single target trinket 

 

despoiled dragon scale - upgrade in item levels only as ability is tuned for having a specific legendary.

Preserved Worldseed - BiS Holy Relic (I have two holy slots)

Plate Wrist - ilvl upgrade

plate Chest - ilvl upgrade (meh stats)

General Dragon mechanics. Tail swipe is in play

Infested Breath-Targets random heal/dps, leaves behind puddle, entire raid group will stack the fight in melee

Rot- targets random players to spawn patches of green pools off of them when debuff expires in 9 sec. Those people will need to run near the last patch of pools that we had just dropped from as a group towards the other aspect of the room and then subsequently allow the debuff to expire

Volatile Rot- Tank debuff that has to be ran out like on fel reaver

Infested-stacking non dispellable dot that is placed on players when they are hit by any of her abilities other than tail swipe

Heart of the swarm(intermission phase)- Boss will go to sleep and subsequently pull pools towards her. Non targetable pulsing AOE bugs will spawn on the ground as well that will need to be avoided

 

So the strat-

Stack in melee unless you have to get out for rot. Initial pull, split room into 4 distinct areas for the facing for breaths and stacking of rot pile and rotating either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on tanks. Purely ST Dps talents. Strong AOE healing talents

Nythendra - Heroic Raid Strategy Guide

 

Two phase dragon boss fight

 

Phase 1: This phase Nythendra is active. The entire mechanic of the phase is to manage placement of pools of Infested Ground

 

Infested Ground: Small zones of poison. Deal damage while standing in them.

 

The following three raid abilities cause the Infested Ground pools to spawn:

  •  Volitile Rot - tank debuff, drop it outside edge of room
  •  Rot - targets a player, debuff, drop it outside edge of room
  •  Infested Breath - dragon breath, dont stand in it - if you do drops Rot on floor

Twice per phase 1 - infested breath, frontal cone ability - targets random player, move out of the area.

 

Stacking debuff - when you get hit by an ability you receive an additional stack of the debuff. Spread out




Phase 2 (20 seconds)

 

Heart of the Swarm - The pools on the ground will now travel toward the center of the room where Nythendra is. Avoid taking damage from these pools.


Small bugs around the room will also swell up and cause pulsing damage - do not be anywhere near the bugs that are swollen.
